Experiencing meditation

The Experiencing Meditation course is part of the Masterpiece Meditation Series. It is an easy to apply approach to learning meditation – a skill that will improve the quality of my thoughts and allows me to reduce stress and experience peace of mind. Meditation is the deliberate focusing of my attention to bring about feelings of calm and heightened energy and awareness. More importantly, I will learn how to apply this skill in all aspects of my life. Meditation has been used in many forms for centuries as a way to experience peace of mind and to remove stress and anxiety. There are many well-documented examples of the positive medical benefits of meditation.

About This Course

Meditation simply means use my mind to reflect upon or study, to exercise the mind in thought or contemplation. What I think about determines my state of mind. It determines how I feel, speak and act. Using the Journey Within approach I simply improve the quality of my thoughts. When I change the quality of my thoughts to a more peaceful and positive level, my state of mind improves, I feel empowered to achieve my life’s goals and my journey starts. Peace is the internal experience of a calm, focused and creative mind revealed in my thoughts, moods, attitude, words and actions. Thoughts are my most imperishable and valuable treasure. These sessions will explore ways to preserve this treasure and make my thoughts more peaceful and positive. Like any skill, meditation requires practice to achieve satisfying results. More and more people are adding some kind of meditation to their daily routine either as an effective antidote to stress, or as a simple method of relaxation. By doing a little meditation every day, it soon becomes a natural and easy habit, which generously rewards me for the effort it involves.

This course is both for experienced meditators and those who are new to meditation.

Michael Timmins

Michael is a student and teacher of meditation for almost 40 years. Based on his experiences he has developed the Masterpiece Meditation Series, an application of meditation for a wide range of audiences. In 1997 Michael initiated “Peace of Mind”, the Mount Abu Meditation Experience Retreat held annually in Rajasthan, India. In 2007 he released, with Dr. Kim Cunio, “Journey Within” – a CD of meditation commentaries and music that is used to support the meditation workshops. Michael’s professional experience includes sales training with a major US based sales training consultancy and financial markets sales and distribution roles with major international banks. He holds a Diploma in Financial Markets from the Financial Services Institute of Australasia. Since 1995, Michael applies his professional experience to continue to build and grow ClearMind Pty Ltd, his family company that imports and distributes premium non-alcoholic beverages.
